I find myself here again
the same molassic path
different variables
share one affliction
sadness and grief
two sides to the same coin
but this is another currency

one that transcends the physical
but is not without its burdens

with fresher eyes than ever
yet still I am bound to
the same forsaken heart

and as heavy as this vessel becomes
I find myself stretched thin

It's no effortless journey
to dive into the chaos and wade
through its sea of errors
carcasses designed by mistakes
but it is a longer sojourn
than any of us are ready for
nonetheless the calling plucks at us
heart strings and other instruments
not yet named
these are our trials
come fire or high water
the darkness is not to be taken lightly
[The deeper I wallow
the harder it becomes to walk]
my insides are out
and my environment is trying desperately
to tear me apart
but I do envy the apathetic
for they know not the wounds
of we who feel too, too much
[for we who feel too damn much]
